What did Google announce?
On 28 October 2026, Google said that starting that day, Chrome's enhanced autofill can automatically suggest information pulled directly from Gmail as you fill out online forms.
Autofill has always handled basics such as your name, address and credit card number. Google says that using Gemini with Personal Intelligence, it can now also surface details like order numbers, tracking information and flight bookings right when you need them.

How does it look in Chrome?
In Google's demo, a flight check-in form asks for a booking code. Chrome's autofill menu lists a booking code with a "Suggested by Gemini" label. 9to5Google reports that this label appears in the autofill dropdown whenever suggestions are available.

Who can use it?
Google says the capability is beginning to roll out in the US on desktop, Android and iOS for Gemini in Chrome users with Personal Intelligence enabled.
Is it private?
Google says sensitive data is encrypted and you remain in control. You can manage whether enhanced autofill is enabled, and what it can access, in Chrome settings. 9to5Google adds that you can remove specific suggestions.
Why does it matter?
Order numbers and booking codes usually sit in old emails, so people switch tabs and search their inbox to find them. This feature brings them to the form. It also means Chrome now draws on your email, so it is worth knowing where the settings are.
What's next?
The rollout has only begun, and Google has not given dates for other countries in its announcement.
