Which plans keep every model?
AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers keep access to every model. AI Pro also gains Deep Think, the parallel reasoning feature that was Ultra only until now.
When do AI Plus subscribers lose Pro?
Reports say Google is emailing AI Plus subscribers with the exact date their Pro access ends, so it may differ from person to person.
What are the new effort levels?
The Gemini app will also get low, medium and high effort levels for each model this month. 9to5Google quotes the support document:
This will increase the model's ability to complete tasks and provide more thorough answers to queries, but will also use more of your limit.

Can we confirm this on Google's own page?
Not yet. When we opened Google's Gemini Apps limits help page on 5 October, it still showed the older model table. That is why we label this story Reported.
Why does it matter?
Millions of people use Gemini for free. If the reports are right, the stronger models move behind a paid plan from 9 October.
What's next?
9to5Google notes Google has not said where Gemini 4 Argon fits in the new tiers. We will update this story when Google's help page shows the change.
